Bandung day 1
Tuesday, February 3, 2015 | 0 Bunny(s)

We've been counting down for few months and with a blink of eyes, the day is finally here.
and me the forever last minute whenever it comes to packing. and it didn't took me long to pack my stuff and i am done within half and hour. And as usual me and sis weren't able to sleep well because we can't wait for sun to rise. Well obviously, because this was our virgin trip to Bandung and also first time travelling with the parent by plane.

Rise and shine
woke up feeling fresh and excited to get ready because our flight was at 10.
Start the day with a selfie. and so we took cab to the airport. As much as I'm excited for this trip, i am much more excited for my mum because it was her first virgin trip on the plane. She told me she was nervous and i can see that from her facial expression. haha
As we were too early to check in our baggages, we went over to KFC to have our breakfast.

So me and sis had planned to wear the same top for some of the days and one of it were those as you can see below and of course, a family photo while waiting to check in our baggages (look at mum's cramp face).

After check in, we proceed to the departure hall as we wanted to let mum have the feel of what it feels like to be in the departure hall and of course, to let her observe and see whats there in it. And not long after, off we go. Below was some of the photos taken.

Once board the flight, mum was very quiet and i know deep down she was worried about our safety. well who doesn't right especially after hearing a few incidents which involved plane crashes.
Of course mum being mum, she seem to be reciting and praying for our safe journey on plane, which i did too whenever i'm on a flight.

And yes, this is 90% of the time of how mum looks like when she was on board.

Once pilot announced that we'll be landing shortly, there's a sign of relief from mum's face and she finally could smile a little. and Alhamdulilah, we've landed safely in the town of Bandung

And anyway, this was our first time alighting from plane without the connector to the airport and we have to walk to the airport instead. But i think it was pretty cool. haha
While walking, we were literally searching for the "airport". To our surprised, Bandung's airport is not even close to Singapore's shopping mall? i mean whats more Singapore's airport. How do i describe it? Kampung! Yes it is. There were only 2 immigrations and 1 belting for baggage's collection. The area where we collect the baggage was very suffocating and you have to squeeze in between 100 over people to check out for your luggage. yes, that bad. Once done, we walked out from the airport and looked out for Mang Dede- Our driver, who would bring us around city of Bandung for the rest of the days.

As we were starving, we told Mang Dede to bring us for lunch. So he brought us to this Padang restaurant that served many dishes as shown below.

Don't be deceiving by the amount plates on the table but you only pay for what you eat. I would say the dishes was so-so. Not up to our expectation. There's always time for selfie. hehe

After lunch, headed to our hotel- Favehotel. It was quite near to the airport. Let me ask you a question? Do you feel frustrated when you're stucked in traffic jam? Then now imagine journey from Sengkang to Hougang,  In Singapore you only took barely 15 minutes to reach via car but  likewise in Bandung, you could sit in the car for 2 hours! I am not kidding. Anyway, this is the look of our hotel room. It could be better if there's more than 1 plug -.-

We rested for 2 hours before heading out again to Pasar Baru. It was a shopping mall similar to Tanjng katong complex in geylang, I didn't spent anything except for 1 top and a jeans. And another negative point about Bandung was, there's alot of walking seller who would chase after you and indirectly forcing you to buy which annoy the shit out of me. They were literally everywhere, like your shadow. Another negative point about Bandung was, they can smoke freely everywhere. Everywhere means including enclosed shopping mall. Since pasar baru closed at 5pm, we then headed for early dinner at this restaurant which located at the peak of a hill (picture below). And the view was breathtaking and the weather was cooling.

This is our dining table, perfect weather and perfect ambience, and to top it off with delicious food and lovely family. Everything was perfect *.*

And with that, we call it a day! #endofday1
